When are you open?

The nursery is open seasonally, weather dependent, from mid Feb/early March to end of September. The coffee shop is open from Valentines day 14th Feb to Christmas Eve. For daily opening times see 'location' page. Please note we are closed every Tuesday.

What plants do you supply?

We have a good choice of cottage garden perennials, herbs, alpines and shrubs. Annual bedding and hanging basket plants available in the spring/early summer. Hanging baskets are available to purchase but we don't do orders or holds on these.  We do not sell trees or fruit trees, hedging, turf or lawn seed.

 

Is there parking?

We have hard standing parking and an overflow meadow but it does get busy at peak periods. If you are visiting the coffee shop why not cycle over? We have a dedicated cycle parking shed with plenty of room.

Can you help me choose my plants/give advice on my garden?

We will always try and help but please remember the nursery is run by one person so we don't always have time to chat. WIFI is available on site so you can look up questions if needed, password is in the coffee shop.

Is there disabled access?

We currently have one disabled parking space. There is access to the coffee shop and a disabled access wc. The tea garden is accessible via a hard gravel path and there is seating on hard standing areas.  The nursery has deeper gravel and wood-chip paths which may be more challenging for a wheelchair user. Our main shed shop is accessible, the second shed has a small lip at the entrance. The Shepherd's Hut is not accessible for customers with limited mobility.

Do you allow dogs?

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas of the nursery, shed shops and the tea garden. The coffee shop is guide dogs only. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on site.

Do you offer garden design services?

Sorry, we don't offer this service.

Are there any jobs available?

The coffee shop sometimes have vacancies, call in or phone them on 01953681182. The nursery doesn't have any vacancies available.

​

Gift Vouchers?

We sell our own gift vouchers. Our vouchers are for use in the nursery and shed shops only, they don't include the coffee shop as this is a separate business.  We don't accept National Garden Centre vouchers or any other vouchers.
